I stand behind my work 100%. If your custom piece fails during the Warranty period due to poor workmanship, I will repair or replace that piece at my discretion
Wood is a natural product that can be unpredictable in it's movement. When using barn wood every effort is made during construction to prevent future splitting. All noticeable cracks (if any) are fixed using butterfly inlay pieces of hardwood either on top or underneath the finished surface. This process eliminates any found defect(s) from getting worse over time. Barn wood is kiln sanitized before using in furniture.
Live edge slabs move throughout each season and techniques are implemented during construction to allow for this. New cracks may appear over time and are normal. Every live edge slab I use for a table is kiln dried to 12% +/-.
Large slabs are integrated with steel reinforcement to help maintain their flat surface then sealed to slow down the moist/dry equilibrium.
Payment and deposits
We accept the following payment methods:
We require a 50% deposit when your order is placed with the balance plus shipping and/or tax due upon completion. For orders of multiple pieces, the balance due on each piece is due upon completion of that piece. All payments for furniture, shipping charges and any tax due must be received before your order ships.
Once deposits are received and materials purchased no refunds can be made.
Shipping is handled through common carrier companies. I receive a substantial discount on shipping fees. Your shipment will be insured and tracked. Shipping can be terminal, business with dock or forklift, curbside or in home delivery. Your furniture will be shipped terminal pick up unless otherwise specified.Terminal pick up allows the customer to pick the shipment up at the nearest terminal that particular freight carrier has to your home. Usually within 35 miles. If you own or have access to a loading dock or forklift, your furniture can be delivered to this location. Curbside delivery is accomplished using a lift gate equipped truck. Home delivery, also known as "white glove" delivery service will accept the shipment from the carrier, unpack and deliver into your home. If you live in or near the metro Asheville area I will deliver your custom furniture myself. For locations over 50 miles, a fuel charge may be required. Smaller items such as jewelry boxes and chests, small tables, benches and such can be shipped via FedEx or UPS
The agreed upon method of shipment cannot be changed without the consent of Nature's Knots Custom Furniture.
Any additional services provided by the carrier, outside of the agreed upon shipping method, are the sole responsibility of the customer.These additional charges, if any will be billed to the customer.
All shipping/delivery fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
